Boondock Saints II: Day of All Saints

I can understand why someone thought it was a good idea to greenlight a sequel to The Boondock Saints but that does not mean it should have happened. The original is becoming a sort of poor man's Tarantino movie about a couple cult Irish brothers who go around killing people and saying his Ave Maria after. It was a very bad movie that people like to quote all the time or reference despite its silly plot and horrible dialogue. The sequel was, without doubt, as cash-in the hope that the cult fans will come out to see him. That would have been better to have launched this fiasco directly on DVD.

The Product: Live hard, hard sell

The premise sounded funny, Jeremy Piven, now known as the jerk agent in Entourage, as a car salesman trying to pull Junkers hock and HID lights. With a strange but promising cast Ving Rhames and James Brolin? It sounded promising, but the film never live up to its billing. Not even a by-now cliche cameo by Will Ferrell comedy could save a note of the bombing with critics and the box office. If you want a clever comedy, but dumb, stepbrothers rewatch.

Te Quiero, Beth Cooper

Even young and popular actress Hayden Panettiere Heroes can not save this bomb teen comedy based on the popular novel by Larry Doyle. While the novel had the wit to Mean Girls, and the Beth Cooper film adaptation was desperately wants as clever as that Tina Fey-written the film, the end falls flat due to a terrible script, not Panettiere act and the typical Hollywood high school movie clichés. Many critics blamed the director, Chris Columbus for ruining what could have been a adaptation of a great novel, but criticized his over-reliance on cliché dialogue and sight gags.
